                Bachelor in Information Management (BIM) is a 4 year academic program designed by Tribhuvan University (TU).  In today's scenario BIM is one of the highly rated subjects. The demand for BIM students in industry & IT sector is also high. It is a very good subject which is the blend of two major subjects Management & IT. The course is totally composed of 40% management field & 60% IT field. It is also said that it is the blend of BBA and BIT or BCA.

               The students of any field scoring 60% can apply for BIM  CMAT exam and after successfully passing the CMAT exam conducted TU, the students are qualified to attend the class.

Cost Required to complete the BIM Program

Course fees range from Rs. 200,000 to Rs. 330,000. Upon completion of the course, graduates can earn a minimum monthly salary of Rs. 10,000 or more.

Examination, Evaluation and Grading System
The BIM program will be executed through the semester system.There will be altogether eight semesters required to complete the regular program. The internal(on going) evalution shall carry 40 percent weight while the external (end of semester) examination shall carry 60 percent weight. The final grade shall be determined on the overall performance in internal and external examinations
Passing Grade and Grading System
Students must secure a minimum of grade 'C' or Grade Point Average(GPA) of 2.0 in the internal evalution in order to qualify to appear in the semester examination. The passing grade in the semester examination for an individual paper is also grade 'D' or GPA of 1.5.In order to pass the semester examination the student must secure Grade 'C' or the average Commulative Grade Point Average(CGPA) of 2.0.
Students who secure a Semester Grade of 'D' is not promoted to the next semester.

Beam Penetration Method

Two layers of phosphor red and green are coated inside of CRT screen and color depends on how far the beam pentrates into the phosphor layer. A beam having very fast electron penetrates through the red layer and excites inner green layer. A beam of slow electrons excites only outer layer of red phosphor. An intermediate speed beam produce combination of two color: orange and yellow. Hence, color is controlled by beam acceleration voltage. It is inexpensive method but can only produce four color.
