Micromax, one of
the renowned Indian company has launched its new model “Canvas HD a116” into the
giant world of Smartphone. The newly introduced phone covers lot of features
which makes it one of the best Smartphone available in the markets. A quad-core
processor, a 720p display and an 8-megapixel camera is something people dream
about. It also looks like Samsung Galaxy S III, minus the home-button, as
Micromax opts for a three capacitive key layout, which works perfectly.
Canvas
HD scores heavily also in terms of its hardware spec. it comes equipped with a
large 5-inch 720p IPS display, a quad-core MediaTek Soc, which is clocked at
1.2GHz, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of internal memory, a mciroSD cardslot, dual-SIM
capabilities and a 2,000 mAh battery. The Canvas HD comes loaded with Android
4.1 jelly Bean, which is relatively new. The Canvas HD maintains a clean
Android ‘Holo’ UI, which is a delight to
use save for a feature tweaked icons that look quite cartoonish and a few Micromax
apps like the Hook Up messenger, the M!Store, M!Zone+ and M!Live. Overall the
experience is pretty stock and slick.
The
phone’s battery lasts around 12.5 hours in normal usage that includes its
screen at medium brightness, some video, casual gaming, around three hours of
phone calls, email and web browsing. Turn on wi-fi, and you can expect a drop
to around 11 hours – overall, a middling battery performance. According to
Network Solution ( P ) Ltd, the official distributor of Micromax mobiles in
Nepal, Canvas A116 HD will be available in the Nepali market in about a week,
and it will cost around Rs 24,000.
